Pipes In Memory

These pages belong to the heart.

The loss of a beloved one cannot be touched by mere words alone.
Our pipes evoke the feelings and speak the sounds of how we feel. Individually, and as a Clann, we share and reflect upon all our beloved
has given us. We need to tell another how much they meant to us.
We seek to comfort our heart in it's harshest pain.
To honor loved ones now returned to the Great Source of all life,
we present to you these loving tributes to their lives.

William Hugh Muir

Born: 1874 & Returned Home: 1959

My Grandfather, My World!

As a child, on days of gray and troubles, he would always say through his thick brogue "pick up yer head, straighten yer back, dint ye know you're a Muir"? Up to the day he returned to the Great Creator 'You're A Muir' was his herald.
He was so proud to be a Muir.

A noble man, a man of dignity and honor. His word was as good as he.
His love for the animals and all things natural allowed all life to thrive under his wing.
He taught me the ways of the old country; the traditional dances, and
even though my being a female, he taught me the sacred
'Dance Of The Swords'.
Never would he allow a tear to fall, a heart to pain caused by him.
So in this time, the deep embedded memory of sitting upon his knee as he bounced us grandchildren for hours singing his 'hi diddy dee' to the Scot tunes of his soul, we sing not songs of gray or gloom, but we dance to the 'hi diddy dee' of his spirit.
Our choice of the Pipes In Memory music celebrates these memories of him.
We, his grandchildren, give tribute to this overseer of our family Muir.

The Clann Muir Worldwide site was created in his honor and memory.

No Greater Scot has Ever Lived!

In deepest love, respect and appreciation,
Jann Vera Muir & August Muir Flohr ~ His Grandchildren
